It seems to me that more and more people have an Xbox 360. There could be many reason behind it but for me there are two main reasons which support the original statemant. One of them is Microsoft finally improving the effeciency of the Xbox and fising the dreaded three red light problem that did eventually cost them billions, but it seems like it has begun to pay off. Secondly, the number of quality games on the Xbox 360 has given it the edge over the PS3 for a while, although it seems the PS3 will soon be getting some new quality titles of its own like Tekken 6, Street Fighter and Grand Turismo 5.

 But enough of the PS3, we’re here for a free Xbox 360 arent we not? Getting a free Xbox 360 can be done is three simple steps and can be completed inside 2 weeks. What is it

For all of you none computer nerds I think its best you know what is so great about the Macbook Air. Firstly the fact that is super thin, and when I say super I mean 1.94 cm think, which is just insanely thin but still it holds all the necessary contents of all other Macbooks and a bit extra. The PS3, what can I say, it seems to me that it will be the next big thing. The Wii had its time, its now the turn of the PS3. In no way am I biased to the Ps3 but its just seems to me that it is going from strenght to strenght. It has Bluray capability which means you can play Bluray DVDs, it has free online play unlike the Xbox 360 which requires a payment of about £40 for a yearly subscription. But most importantly, it seems like the PS3 is now getting  fair share of games. Unreal Tornament, Call of Duty 4, Gran Turismo 5 are some of the titles which are already out or yet to come out that I am eagerly anticipating.

Anyway, now time for the reall talk. With the PS3 becoming to be the major player in the console wars, it looks like there might just be a increase in price as the demand is growing. Already it is expensive but it could get worse. However, luckily for us all, there is a way to get it for free or at most at the price of a DVD rental. All you have to do is follow these simple three steps: 

• Sign up to The Giveaway Network
• Complete an offer (there is a free DVD trial)
• Refer 10 others to do the same

The reason why I would suggset The Giveaway Network for the PS3 is because it is the site that needs the least amount of referrals to get it, therefore making it easier and quicker to get your hands on it once all the criteria are met.

This could turn out to be the biggest battle in the Mobile Phone industry since they began. The iPhone so far is heading the way with is undoubtly superior marketability, but is it actually the better phone?

The best way I could think of comparing these two rivals is to compare the features that they both share or maybe dont share and weigh them up against each other, so lets begin:

Touch Screen

As most of you would have probably guessed they both have a touchscreen, but are there any differences? Well let me start with the iPhone. The iPhone has a 3.5 inch (diagonally) screen which is 480×320 in resolution at 163ppi, which too be fair aint too shabby.  Everything on the iPhone is based around its touch screen, meaning that the only way to use it is by the touchscreen and nothing else. The viewty likewise is based around the touchscreen and there, but there are buttons for call and cancel (which you can see in the picture above). The Viewty has a 3inch touchscreen (diagonally) which is 240×400 and has a 262k colour display, which is standard on most of the newest phones these days.

What I would say is the most annoying about the iPhones touchscreen is that it is not stylus supported and im afraid to say I am one of those that doesnt like any smudges on my screen. However, Apple make up for this by supply you with a cleaning and polishing cloth with the iPhone. The Viewty on the other hand comes with Stylus support and a stylus included, which I like because it saves me smudging the screen all the time, and I know the stylus would be designed keep the Viewty screen smudge and scratch free.

Camera

This is probably the biggest difference between the two phones. The iPhones comes with a 2 Megapixel camera, which in this day and ages is…well…not good at all. Its just terrible. For all the technology it contains Apple could only manage to get a 2 Megapixel camera on it. To make matters worse the camera doesnt even take and videos, which almost renders it useless. Pretty much every new phone that comes out that has a camera has video recording technology, so this to me is a big let down by Apple. Then again, the iPhone still allows video the all important video playback, so you can import videos onto it. But like all things Apple you will have to find yourself a converterto convert your average mpeg to a iPhone mp4, which again is anothe let down by Apple, because this may restrict the easy at which you upload videos onto it.

The Viewty comes with a 5 Megapixel camera, which totally outshinys the iPhones 2 Megapixels. This will mean you will have greter quality pictures even when you resize the to greater resolutions. Also the Viewty has what the iPhones doesnt, a video recorder. So it seems this camera is more complete compared to the iPhones, but like I said before both these things should come as standard on new phones. The Viewty allows us to play videos in the normal mp4 format aswell as wmv and DviX, which i think is one of the best formats around.

Applications

The iPhone comes with many useful applications, the most notable of which is the inbuilt iPod, which is similar in function with the iTouch. So you could probably say when you are buying an iPhone you are buying a phone with iTouch technology, which is something I wouldnt complain about. You also get the Mac Browser called Safari, which is a very effecient web browser that is clean and easy to use. Another thing that I like is the Youtube button, maybe becasue im on Youtube alot. I reckon this is a great idea, as you get instant access to a large amount of videos in a touch of a button (obviously you need internet access) and this can make up slighlty the fact that you cannot create your own videos with your own camera. There is even a GPS tracker built into the iPhone that makes it that bit easier to navigate on unknown areas.

But the Viewty also has a link to Youtube that also enables you to upload videos from your phone directly to Youtube. This is probable something Apple could have done but cannot implement because they dont have video recording on their product. Also like the iPhone, the Viewty has a GPS tracker too, which is a useful addition as pointed out before. I am unsure what browser the Viwety uses but there is a Google Package that you can install on it, that basically gives it the Google makeover and makes the net fully functionable like the interent on a Computer.

The Other Useful Things

Both of them require you to be connected to a wireless connnection before you can use the internet, this is something that could become quite annoying because it could prevent you access the net if you were on the bus or just out an about. However, most of the shops and shopping centres contain Wireless internet access, so this may not be a huge problem. Because the Viewty comes with a Stylus you are able to text by writting the letters inctead of having to press the individual letters. This type of thing had already been implemented on the Sony Ericcson W950i and was something I enjoyed because I am not the quickest of texters. In saying that, pressing letter by letter, which the iPhone has, is also something that saves us slower texters.

Apart from all the gadgets that these two phones posses, I can safely say they are both very stylish phones and are unrivaled by any other phones in the current market toda, but which would I choose?

Which One Shall It Be?

Now that is a difficult question. The iPhone is the must have thing in this New Year, but I am not fond of taking an 18 Month O2 contract just so I can get my hands on one, nither am I keen on not having video recording capability. In saying that, it would still be good to have one just for show xD. The Viewty seems to overshadow the iPhone in terms of the things it contains (apart from an iPod of course) and its camara is something to be marvelled. Futhermore, I am not restricted to the comapny and contract I would like to take out, I can choose from all the major companies and even go on pay as you go.

In the end I would still choose the iPhone because it just seems superior even though its not. This could be because of Apples massive marketng campaign which put it into the view of the whole World. It is a shame LG havent marketed the Viewty asmuch, as it is a definate rival of the iPhone and sholud be up there battling at the top spot.

Why the Wii?

I knew you would ask that questions. Basically I think the Wii is something that I could play to get fit, I play games abit in my free time so this would something that I would enjoy and uncounsicously I will be getting fitter aswell.

The games I am looking forward to playing is Mario Strikers and Mario and Sonic at the Olympics. I saw the trailer of the Olymipcs game and I was just like wow. It looks so interactive and fun it just hit me as a must get for the New Year, so i am acting on that and working towards getting the console for free so I can get the game later on.

How am I going to start?

Well, my first plan off attack is to make a litte article on Squidoo because they are easy to do and Squidoo is seen by many people. Once I make it, ill make sure I create backlinks to my Squidoo page by posting links and messages on forums and sites that contact relevant content to mine. This way many people who would be interested will see this and hopefully sign up and try and get thier free Console from Real Incentives and also Google might be able to pick up my content and index it, which could be helpful.

Second plan of attack? Well after I have created my Squidoo page and done backlinking, I will probably send out leaflets around my area and do all the things I have talked about on the ‘How to get Referrals’ page and see how that goes.

Well let me tell you abit about me. My name is Marlet and I own a small business that deals with database management and software development. I love to write useful information to help others although sometimes it can be quite rubish to read, lol. Saying that, I hope to that i enlighten people that read all the things that I have to say.
