Building a Wordpress Website
Well here is the guide into how to build a Website using Wordpress using a freehost and a freedomain. The reason why I used Wordpress is simple, Google loves them and as Google loves them it means there is a greater chance of the site hitting the top rankings in the search engine. Obviously it is not as easy as just creating a website, you will find out how to increase your Google rankings in the next installment that I will write soon.
Anyway, back to creating the site. I am using a freehost called Freehostia conveniantly. They have a very easy to use interface and have an extremely good server thats hasnt shut down once since I have been using them for over 6 months now. Once you sign up with Freehostia, you can create a free domain with them that will end with .freehostia.com. Then click the button called MySQL database and create one by just filling in the required information. Once you have created the database, click the button called Elefante Scripts and seacrh for Wordpress, so it can automatically install it for you. And thats it, you have a domain with Wordpress installed on it, now just login to your admin account and start making the site
So the steps are:
- Create an account with Freehostia
- Create a free domain name
- Create a MySQL database
- Use the Elefante Script auto installer
- Login to your new Wordpress site
