Free PS3, Free iPhone and More!

The PS3, what can I say, it seems to me that it will be the next big thing. The Wii had its time, its now the turn of the PS3. In no way am I biased to the Ps3 but its just seems to me that it is going from strenght to strenght. It has Bluray capability which means you can play Bluray DVDs, it has free online play unlike the Xbox 360 which requires a payment of about £40 for a yearly subscription. But most importantly, it seems like the PS3 is now getting  fair share of games. Unreal Tornament, Call of Duty 4, Gran Turismo 5 are some of the titles which are already out or yet to come out that I am eagerly anticipating.

Anyway, now time for the reall talk. With the PS3 becoming to be the major player in the console wars, it looks like there might just be a increase in price as the demand is growing. Already it is expensive but it could get worse. However, luckily for us all, there is a way to get it for free or at most at the price of a DVD rental. All you have to do is follow these simple three steps: 

• Sign up to The Giveaway Network
• Complete an offer (there is a free DVD trial)
• Refer 10 others to do the same

The reason why I would suggset The Giveaway Network for the PS3 is because it is the site that needs the least amount of referrals to get it, therefore making it easier and quicker to get your hands on it once all the criteria are met.

I am no Computer expert but there are a few things I think people should know about Alienware rigs in a less complex and technical view.

For a start I can say this was one of the best Experiences of my life, taking hold of this facinating machiene and grasping its full potential as we played Crysis, probably one of the most graphically demanding PC game at this present moment in time. Not one drop of framerate and not one look away from the screen, it was a very good experience.

How can it be so great?

 Thats an answer i will try and explain in the only way I know how. For starters the version I was using had an Intel Quad Core Extreme processor and if we put that into context it is four times faster than an average Intel Dual Core and they were though to be fast. So loading times were the thing of the past, you would click then pretty much instantly everything would load up. This is very much helped by the DDR RAM they have in place. For those that dont know what RAM is, it is the part of the computer that is used to process all the bits of information used by programs running at the time, the larger it is, the better it is. This version had a 4GB RAM chip that…well…made it much faster.

Not only do they have very quick processors, but they have amazing Graphics Cards to. Using the lastes Nvidia Technology, the version I was using had a 768MB graphics card that could clock about 575 Mhz (larger the value, the smoother the graphics look). It could also process 36.4 billion textures a second, which is extremly fast, and is also helped by the fast processor and RAM chips.

Another thing I found intruging was the BlueRay disk drive. I had never seen one before up to now and it seems like a useful addition to such a powerful computer. A BlueRay disk can hold 50GB of information, which is 10 times larger than DVD Disks, which hold up to 5GB. BlueRay technology also enables you to watch High Definition Movies (unfortunatly I was not able to watch one) which are said to be much clearer and more definied compared to a normal movie.

Not only was it capable of BlueRay playback, its hard drive was a massive 4TB, which is 4000GB. So you could fit 665 6GB games on it, 1000 4GB movies or 1,000,000 4MB songs. So basically if you are one that likes to fill up thier computer, I wish you good luck trying to fill this one.

And finally I end with is sleek design. It didnt look like any ordinary computer, it looked evil in its black patterned case with red lights pulsating every other second as you try to handle the full force of the powerful rig. The style is unmatched and unrivaled by any other manufacture I know and long let it continue!

So how much?

Well, this question was going to be asked sooner or later. The Model I was using the Area-51 7500 has a starting price of around £800, which is decent I would say, but you would be missing a whole lot of extras. With all the added items like the Quad Core Extreme, the BlueRay disk player and the RAM it would cost you around £3500, which is alot more, but in my opinion it is worth every penny.
